As many of us know QVC home shoping network had a limited WWII set on tonight. They were talking about it on Click. ???My question is how do you all feel about the $119 price tag.I myself am a big collector of the military lighters but, with a price like that there is now way for me to afford it.Is anyone going to bite at the high price or is every one that wants one going to wait and take a chance on getting it cheaper on ebay.Just wondering.Jeff aka bigbaddad

Jeff I would love to have that set as well but you are right $119 is a little to over price I think it was Loweden that said 50.00 was about right but then again they know that most of us collectors are willing to pay twice as much of what it is worth just to have it I think I will wait for ebay Click did say if it was a good seller then they will produce more maybe the price will go down a little. BUt $119 I rather have a lighter that was there then the new 60th

Geez folks. Wake up and smell the coffee. It's just another commercial for the great God of lighters, ZIPPO CORP. Had they wanted more than 5 minutes on QVC they would have ponied up the bucks for it. So, inflate the price, create a useless need, sit back and hope the big bucks roll in. Hmmmmm. That sounds familiar. ie: Who was it that lobbied Washington to stop their nonsense about not letting Zippo's onboard airplanes? Who was it that found a magical solution to the problem almost overnight and at the same time make a profit? Know what I mean Vern? Gee. I get this warm fuzzy feeling knowing that I've been rescued by Corporate America. Zippo Corp, Zippo Click, it's all the same. If it were any different, would we be here, instead of over "there"?

don't complain too much, cause there are people that buy it, so there seems to be a need for it.

Still there today. I wonder how many sold, out of the 5k? I would like to get a set, but for the money of that I could 2 or 3 really sweet Japanese lighters... That's a pretty easy choice to me.

well, it was confirmed by zippoclick that there are sets remaining. They have yet to decide where they will be offered next.

I did bite on the Tiger Stripe camo, there were supposedly only 105 of those. But over $100 Buck for 2 repros, I think not. Yes I still go on the ZC site also, I just paid for a 5 year membership. I don't intend to throw that away. And besides we need to know what's going on there too. As far as the "cool" Japanese lighters go, if you use a credit card you're going to be charged a % surcharge for foriegn purchases, I don't remember how much. I don't intend to buy from there.
