very nice Matt. I like the skeletal look to it, like it's a skeleton's hand holding onto the Zippo. Did you figure out the best way to keep it from scratching the lighter?

the primer wears before the lighter will scratch, and it only touches the lighter at the very edges i havent noticed any scratches on the lighter yet, but i did do some damage fitting the forkes around the lighter, but its my tricking lighter, its been repaired 3 times, has a brand new cap and a different hingepin, and its acouple years old
at this point im not woried about scratches, i would send some out for traid and such but each one has to be custom fited to the zippo, you probably know this but each zippo is a little different in size and thickness, its just the one pin on the left that needs to be adusted, if you make it fit one lighter it will eather be way too loose for another or one wont fit (gets stuck.

Hehe, that's really cool matt. So would you say it's better than the Z-Clip?

I don't know if I would recommend a Z-clip mankind. Well, it's not too bad, but very tight....maybe if i used it more. Also, it will only hold your regular size Zips, no other sizes, i.e. replicas, slims (not like anyone uses a slim...lol)

If you ask me the Z-clip is not the thing you want to get, get a nylon pouch, I did a revieuw on the clip in a newsletter once If I find it I post it under reviews ok

if you compare the Z clip to the fork clip its a little different, the (clips) on the zclip sit lower so the lighter can fall out, on mine it sits about 1/2 way up the lighter, so inorder for the lighter to come out it has to go straight up all the way.
this one is just a proto-type, im still working on getting the paint to adhear to the lighter, i might either dip it in plastic or latex or someting, and put tubing on the tongs of the fork to make it more universal for other lighters and protect the lighter

i did a search for some tool dips and found this product www.plastidip.com/consumer/index.html, i think it will work, has any of you worked with this product before, im thinking about using the black for now (more universal), it should fill in the sizing difference between zippos and make it univeral if it works i dont plan on selling these but offering them up as a trade, (you trade a lighter, i trade a clip) i need to boost my collection (only 5) pm me if interested.

Haha. a fork on your belt. thats classic haha the way you describe it makes it sound white trash-ish.. cool design though dude.. I like keeping my Zippo in my pocket with my keys.. between those and the droppings it's getting quite the personality..just earning the wrinkles like old folks..
