I was just wondering if any of you have Zippo's with odd bottom stamp errors.I have one that is a Navy recruit training command gift set.As far as I can figure by the stamp and the fluid can that came with it, it is a 74-75.The lighter is unstruck and on the back it says gift from zippo manufacturing.I'll try to post some photos in the next few days.Jeff aka bbd

OK I finally got some time to do a few photos of the gift set with the bottom stamp error    has anyone else seen one like this?bbd |

ive never seen one like that,just been through my display.is the error only on that set?

I know two other collectors with a lighter like that with out the writing on the back and not in the gift set but the lighter is from the same year and they do not have the error on the bottom.Thats the only one like that I have ever seen,error or set.Not bad for $5 at a yard sale.I have had many other 74-75 Zippos but never had an error on any of them.bbd
