Well ,as many of the click crowd know I have a real knack for getting good deals on some nice older zippos.Today I went to my favorite out side flea market and found nothing except over priced newer lighter's.People are catching on to the Zippo craze.Just when I had given up all hope I came accross a table of junk and he had one Zippo.I asked how much? right away he said $3.So I gave him the cash and walked away all excited. My 8 year old looked at me and said it's got to be a good one.She was correct! An original great condition 41 with the correct unmarked insert corner slashes with initials.Man it turned out to be a good day after all.So what are some of your good deals?Jeff aka bigbaddad

I know what you mean Jeff. I love finding the good deal. but lately it seems most are asking twice the orignal price for a '95 Brush Chrome. WTF!!!!!!!
I like to play it as a game with the seller. I try to act stupid (not hard to do). Asking stuping questions about zippos for a friend. Tends to knock the price down when i don't buy. LOL. But i have had a few good finds. Nothing like your's Jeff. But i baged two vietnam zippos for 5 clams from the vet who owned them.

I wish I found that deal, Jeff. Last week, I went into one of my haunts (antique mall) and just about to leave, when I looked in a cabinet, and seen a 1950 canada patent advert mint in black/silver box, and a 1980's hawaii slim hula girls, both for a grand total of $30 canadian bucks (whats that, $15 us? ). wish I could add the pic of them to show you.

That's a sweet deal Jeff! I'm so close to the source here that if you Fart and it sounds like a Zippo people want to charge you money for it.... The best thing I found was one of those Big arse Japanese Zippos made for the reps. Paid like 15 bucks for it. It really brings out the Pyro in me - you should see the freakin' spark on that monster! Makes me afraid to fill and torch it up....

My best ever deal were two 1979 Sports series (golfer and tennis player) both MIB. Got 'em both for 15 each. Sold the golfer for $50, and I'm keeping the tennis player, not cause I like tennis so much, but it just has so many colors.

Well it wasn't a deal but it was nice to wander into a local shop and see a sweet Toledo 1997 sitting in the display cabinet. I paid the retail price but it was worth it!
And you're right about Jeff and his inherent ability to come across Zippos needing a good home Jules!
now about that single malt there Jeff...deSoto? pool? scotch? zippos? hmmm...good combination...

the only deals i been able to get are through Walmart, they always charge atleast 5 bucks off retail. its not as great as some of your others but its refreshing when you know most stores charge full retail.
