zippos on planes

well im going to florida tommarow and i checked out all the regulations and searched the forums. basicaly im screwed because im not willing to spend 12 bucks on a special case for my zippo, even if i could it would take to long to arive at my house. so is there anyway i can take my zippo 2 florida, i dont realy care if its legal or not, but i need ideas fast. o and can i carry lighter fluid with me in the portable key chain thing.
i posted this on lt.com 2, but i wasnt shure if i woulod get a response fast enough, thanks guys

Best bet is to leave it all home. The key fob should pass. I don't think they would even know what it is. Let alone think to open it.

Something you could try is to take the zippo apart. Remove the insert... remove the cotton and let it dry out. Carry the case on the plane. They won't mind. Put the insert in your check-in bag. Then if they look, they will only see a empty insert. Oh put the cotton in your pocket.

This is what i would do if i had too. I make no promis that this will work.
