It looks like a chrome over brass 203 pat.The hinge would seem to be a replacement and who knows about the insert.seems if it were the original insert he would have said so or at least showed it in the listing.To me it looks like a lot to pay for what it is.Well at least thats my opinion.jeff

to me at first it looks like the chrome is worn off ? not sure if its a shadow or not? if its not it could be a nickel silver or nickel steel but I cant tell thats why I stared this thread! to get some opinions. thanks

a friend(yes i have some)showed me a zippo last night.on the bottom it has the usual Bradford print with ix which i believe puts it at a 93.it also has a patent number 2032695 stamped on the bottom.is this a commemorative zippo??

Jules - it sounds like a "Vintage Replica" ('37 shape with the squared corners) - as they used the old bottom stamp plus added the new dating codes.
