I have never seen one of these in person yet but whenever I see them online and read 1.5 times as thick as a normal zippo. Is it really that much thicker, and if so is it an eyesore and kind of annoying having it bigger then the other lighters? I found a nice one that I want but i'm not sure if i'll still want it if it is too thick. This may seem like kind of a dumb question but I am curious and don't want to spend money on something I might not like when I receive it, thanks.

on the outside is the lighter the same if you lay it next to a regular you see the insede of the cap a little difference it is a big difference in weight i use an armored case for tricking and i like it becouse of the weight but on the outside it looks like a regular plain HP chrome zippo

hardly an eyesore tm1! the extra thickness as oldno7 says is noticeable but not ugly by any stretch and the extra weight feels great! I have but one and plan to expand this part of the collection.

Me too on the thumbs up on them - they feel great. As per usual there's not much available on the US market but they've been producing them for a while now for the Japanese market & they have quite a range. As the case is so much thicker it means that any designs on them are a lot deeper than on a normal Zippo. Jules, keep an eye out for Zippo's with an A in a shield just below the Zippo logo on the bottom stamp - that's the symbol of the Armor cases.

I do not think they would do an armor just because of the added cost.I have never seen one but have asked around and as far as I can tell there are no commands willing to put out the added expence of doing the armor lighter's.To bad.It would be a pretty cool idea.bbd you don't have any armor Zippos yet?I'll look to see what I have.
