Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this BB. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this BB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this BB.
• All tricks demonstrated in person or on the LIGHTER-LOUNGE.COM website are performed by experienced adults. Performing tricks is dangerous. A lit lighter is hot and can start a fire. There is also a chance you can burn yourself or other people. Tricks should not be attempted by minors or inexperienced people. Perform only if you are an adult, in a safe place, away from flammable objects and people. Do not attempt to learn tricks with a lit lighter or a lighter filled with fuel. Attempting these tricks can cause serious and permanent injury to yourself and others. Children should not perform tricks. Adults; perform at your own risk.
• Members are expected to conduct themselves as civilized individuals here. That means showing courtesy to other members (new and old), avoiding excessive cursing, and absolutely no personal attacks / bashes / flames / bigotry. Racial, Sexist or religious slights of any kind are absolutely not tolerated, nor are slights against other groups based on sexual orientation, age, class, IQ, ethnicity or similar features.
• Each individual is allowed to have only one account. Duplicate accounts will be deleted. You MUST keep a valid Email on file. If you do not, your posting privileges will be suspended and your account may be locked out and / or deleted.
• Newbie’s should be treated with respect even if they ask a question that has been answered a dozen times before, simply refer them to the proper thread that answers their question. Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question if you don't know the answer to it. Also, if you are new here, please use the Search feature to see if you can find the answer to your question before posting.
• Respect both forum moderators and administrators. They spend countless hours maintaining the forum and helping people and building it into the great community that it has become. Disrespect them and you are gone for good.
• You are expected to use good judgment and
common sense when posting. Members here encompass all ages, and the contents in a post should be suitable as such.
• DO NOT under any circumstances post any message or link to another site that contains information exploiting children in any way. Children are defined as anyone under the age of 18. Doing so will not only get you banned from this site, but depending on the content may force us to report you to the proper authorities.
• Absolutely NO warez links, requests, discussions, suggestions, or any discussion about warez. Same goes for pornographic material, drugs, or any other illegal activities. All such illegal activities pose a threat to our continued existence and thus will not be tolerated.
• Try to post to the forum that is most appropriate for the topic being presented. Posting a technical question in the General Conversations area "just because you wanted it answered faster" is highly frowned upon and your post may be deleted. Moving threads is a courtesy to help keep things categorized properly; however we realize that sometimes a question can cross multiple topics and it isn't exactly clear where it would be best to post. If a person repeatedly creates new threads which are obviously in the wrong place, a moderator has the right to delete a post / thread without notice.
• Do not start threads if:
o You are simply responding to another thread that has been locked/deleted by a moderator.
o You are asking why a previous thread was locked/deleted by a moderator.
o You solely want to complain about the behavior of forum participants or content. In doing so, you are only creating another pointless thread.
o You have already posted the same question/comment in another forum. Do not Double Post!
o You want to send a message to a single member... Use a Private Message instead!
• Do not post any personal information (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, or any other information considered private); this is for your protection, and the protection of others.
• Each member is 100% legally liable for the contents of their posts, not the owners of this site. If someone has a problem with a post and it does not violate any of the official rules of this forum, then you must take it up with the author of the post directly.
• Do not post messages that violate Federal, State, or Local laws which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or is bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). Observe all copyright laws when posting copyrighted material, this is in everyone's best interest. If the material belongs to someone else, credit the original author.
• Do not post messages that induce criminal or malicious behavior. This includes bragging about setting fires, burning you or others, bomb making, and the use of firearms. Such posts will be deleted.
• Banning is a LAST resort. We will not ban anybody until all else has failed. LIGHTER-LOUNGE.COM reserves the right to ban any member at any time without reason or prior notice. If a user has been banned and continues to try and abuse the forums, their ISP will be contacted and appropriate steps will be taken to resolve the issue.
• LIGHTER-LOUNGE.COM and its representatives will not be held liable for the information posted or transactions that go on in this forum, and disclaim any and all liability resulting from the posted information. So if you fry your computer trying to do something that someone posted here, don't blame us!
• These rules will be enforced with a zero tolerance policy. If you post a message that violates these rules it will more than likely be deleted immediately and without notice. Remember, you are NOT the exception to the rule. We won't allow it "just once" because of <insert lame reason here>. We don't care what your excuse is; the rules apply to EVERYONE at ALL TIMES. If you are caught breaking the rules, you are BANNED. Being a member is a privilege, not a right.
