I've got 2 brass zippo's.. a polished brass, and a vintage brass. I find them better for certain tricks (some squeezes and more "weird" moves) but arn't great for spinning (in my opinion) as I find matte is better for.
Go for it.

Hehe, Saint is a seasoned tricker indeed. I've only had to fix 1 lighter so far. I should get going and start breaking them (through tricking of course).

I have a brushed brass as well and I find it better then brushed chrome, in my opinion. It's got a nice feel to it. I think its an investment that'll pay off, but then again it IS all personal preference.

Nearly ANY Zippo you buy is good for tricking.
Brass Zippos are fun because they are sticky to begin with, but after handling for an hour or so, become somewhat slick.
Best thing to do is just buy a ton of Zippos in "lots" on eBay and getting trunk (trick drunk) with all the various finishes.
y'all know what i mean...

today i bought me a solid brush brass (w/O SB ingraving) ive never handled a brushed brass or bought one before, i knew about the "special protective coating" and that the insert was brass as well. my question: are the bottems supposed to be "canned" like regular zippo, or flat like armor ones. because mine is flat. i dont remember anyone on LT talking about how brass bottems are flat. is this normal or not img122.imageshack.us/img122/4521/untitled17iv.jpg

Kind of funny how the brass lighters are done.I have seen them both ways with the flat and the canned bottom.Have never figured out why that is but it just is.Now days most seem to be the flat not canned.Jeff
