ya thats what i thought to hunter...thats what it says in the info 'bout the members thing...you sign up for a membership...you pay $30 or something and you get a lighter and a years membership...or something like that....oh and...all of your designs are awsome...i tried to design one but it failed horribly

you need to understand something about Blue, Hunter, he makes lists; it's what he does and is his purpose in life. Without lists Blue would be an empty shell of a man wandering the streets aimlessly and looking for meaning to his otherwise worthless, pathetic life.

while the black ice version does look unique, it detracts from what I feel should be the very first L-L ZiPPO. To some it may seem as an attempt to further my design (modified to '41) I feel the very 1st one should be plain and simple. Akin to our humble beginnings. As we grow into the community I believe this lil roadside stand on the info highway will become, (Eventually rivaling Click) we can become less modest and bully our weight with flashy and gawdy designed wares. IMHO

arthurdent: Ah, okay haha. I haven't met Blue before these boards, maybe on Click once but I stopped so I didn't know much about him. Thanks for clearing that up.

Nahhh,, I say we all whip it out and wave it in the wind. We should start with a bang, not being humble. Our needs weren't being met (at another site) so we fixed the situation. We made a better site. Hold your heads up high lad!!!

Speaking of the LL Zippo though......I can't decide between the classic logo on the lighter or Matt's flashy concept. Although I am anxiously anticipating his further releases

i like the flashly look to it, i wanted it something everyone can be proud of.
when this hits the streets i want people to go, hey where did you get that cool lighter, and you can go, i got it from L-L.com, and if the design kicks enough tail, then saint wont be stuck with 40 of them.

plus if this sells well (and it should) then we might beable to pull some other designs.
