I was wondering if any one knows of a Zippo collecting club in the state of Connecticut.I would love to find one around here but have been unable to do so.Heck, I don't even know any other collectors in my area of the state except for the 10-15 I got started.They are not so interested in a club except for the Legion,VFW or the DAV.Jeff aka bigbaddad

youve got it good jeff,if youre into zippos in the uk you may as well be a train spotter also,while all my friends have given pos feedback on my collection its very rare for me to find some one to have a chat about them.my mate got talking to a guy one night in a pub who collects,he got me his number but i couldnt get through,still i have the lounge now so who gives.

pretty much the same here Jules, we have a large number of train spotters and few lighter collectors that I know of!

how about the british club? there are a couple collectors but not that many, I know some sailors

I was wondering about that British Zippo Club too myself a little while ago, went to their site and found that you can't join unless you are a Brit. Kind of exclusive, huh? Have they changed the rules since? You would think they would let other nationalities join, since from what I've heard, there aren't that many collectors/places to buy Zippos there.

there are plenty of places to buy zippos though theyre not cheap at all.i got a lot of mine from my days in the forces,some ships had them others didnt bother again because of the price.i didnt know these sorts of club existed until i bought a zippo from jeff.i will check out the british club and see what its about.i saw one of my old ship mates a few weeks ago and found out he collects,i will mail him about joining here though hes coming upto 30 years time done,i think pcs scare him.

I am 12th generation American on mothers side and 13th generation on my fathers side.My family came here from England in 1622.Can I join the English club?Someone willing to sneak me in?Jeff aka bigbaddad

just had a quick check jeff,you have to LIVE in the uk to join.for £10 you do get a baseball cap,tie pin and a liscence plate plu a few more bits and pieces,stickers etc.i think i can spare a tenner.

yeah I remember seeing that, you get so much for joining. Jules, you don't know me at all, but can I set up temporary residence in your house?

better be able to drink if youre coming to stop at mine blue.i can get a few people to join if anyone wants the pack,£10 seems like a bargain for what you get,apparently the club is not so good though.
