The only way to get those fixed is try it your self or maybe get flea to try it.There used to be a few people at Zippo who worked only on the older models and they really did a great job on the repairs.They would braze hinges in and not have to re-spotweld.they also had older hinges they could use for the right customers.It was not something they offered out loud but if you knew the ones to talk to it would be done.Problem is now the old timers who knew how to do it are gone.the other trouble is with collecting being so important to Zippo they just can't offer to fix them original as it would really mess up the collecting aspect of the whole thing.jeff
