In my area they have several street fairs during the summer months. Not in my town but in many of the towns around me.I have set up at a few and have done OK but never make anything real worth while. Most towns around here are kind of snobby. My wife does her hand crafted Jewelry and cut glass wind chimes and I do my Zippos. We always make back our money for the space and a little profit. So it's more for the fun than anything else.Plus , I almost always get one or two old timers offering me there old Zippos cheap.I am always looking for a deal so most of the times I end up buying also.Jeff aka bigbaddad

my wife bought me the first one for my birthday,i think she was sick of domino effecting my collection where ever i put them.i bought the second.they are store bought, produced by china mainland.the store by us has now closed,Ive just had to order two more from London which is quite a long distance away, hope theyre not smashed on arrival.they are very well secured to the wall so i don't generally get any fallers.each display holds 50 zippos when full.

Well last year at this time I was well over a 1000.Money got real tight so my collection went way down.I do a lot of selling of the military stuff to other Vets I know here in CT and around the country.I have hooked up guys with Zippo's from past commands they were at as far back as the 50's.I figure most older vets do not use computers so they have no chance of replacing lost lighter's.At the highest my collection was a few thousand but having been married a few times and having to move fast and light a few times took many big collections from me.I always had some stashed away in a safe place but ones I would keep with me were always at risk back in the days of bikes broads and booze.Oh well getting older has kept my collection a little safer and a little more stable.I have been collecting since the early 70's.bbd
